Property styling is the use of presentation and design strategies to make your home as visually appealing as possible. It’s commonly used to give your property the competitive edge in the real estate market so that it appeals to the widest range of buyers, but is becoming more common in an every day context where people might just want to spruce up their home for their own enjoyment.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED PROPERTY STYLING?

If you’ve hired a professional real estate agent with proven results, and they recommend having a consultation with a property stylist then you have your answer. A professional agent spends endless hours, day in and day out, connecting buyers with properties and closing deals. If they suggest having a property stylist in for a consult, then it’s generally because they see a benefit in you receiving professional advice on presenting your home for sale in order to attract the right buyers at the right price. Property styling is not just for high end properties, it’s for anyone who wants their property to have a competitive edge in the real estate market.

WHAT’S THE PROCESS?

To begin with, we generally undertake an initial in-home consultation with our clients to view their property. During this consultation we provide advice regarding furniture lay-out and the use of rooms and spaces within the house. We also provide advice regarding the presentation of existing furniture pieces, and discuss options regarding the use of partial and full styling packages. If you think you might need some assistance, give us a call and we can talk about what’s right for you and your home.

WHAT DOES A STYLING PACKAGE CONSIST OF?

A styling package can vary, from the hire of individual items such as artificial plants, mirrors/artwork, coffee tables and more, to accessory and cushion ‘packages’, all the way through to the hire of full packages that consists of furniture and decor throughout an entire house or unit.

WHEN SHOULD I GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU?

As soon as you decide to sell, give us a call. We generally like to have 2-3 weeks notice between giving you your quote, and doing your install. This allows us to source and allocate the best of the best for your property. During certain times of the year, we can be booked out for weeks in advance, so the sooner you can get in touch, the better!

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF TIME WE HAVE THE STYLING FOR?

Generally, the standard hire contract is for a term of 6 weeks from the date of installation, unless advised otherwise by your stylist. Unlike many property styling businesses, we offer weekly, or four weekly block extensions to our clients pending a sufficient notice period. We know the industry very well, and we know that contracts can fall over at the last minute, so it’s important to us that our clients have options.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our pricing is competitive and our results speak for themselves. We are more than happy to provide you with a price guide to give you a general idea for what the costs are, or we can do customized quotes which will give you a more specific costing.
